I use Merv's 2 nic article when I forget something. Well actually I
have the two nic set up down pat. It is the VPN that I sometimes
forget something. Mariette's article refreshes my mind and helps me
doublecheck my settings. One key thing is the router has to pass GRE47
which is a bit different than forwarding a port.
Have you opened up any other ports like port 25 for incomeing email?
Can you telnet into the server at port 25 when offsite? Can you ping
the server's external ip?
