i am trying to set up a new client and get the error msg "cannot launch
ipd2000.exe /u administrator /p***. can any one tell me the problem and how
to resolve it, please?

Hello,

Are you logged on as the workstations local Administrator (or
equivalent) ?

If this is the floppy disk install, have you tried another floppy disk ?

If you have manually added this PC to the domain (in stead of automated
throug the disk), You should check System Properties to see that your
domain membership is correct.
There have been some issues noted with domains when using the NetBIOS
name; try using the FQDN name (usually, <netbiosdomainname>.local) as
the name of the domain.
