Hi, all,
I want to run antivirus liveupdate for all the workstations in a SBS 2000
domain. I noticed the liveupdate is disabled at each workstations. I know I
must do something on the SBS 2000 server machine. Can someone show me the
steps to do this? Thank you very much.

Hi John,

I hope you are going to tell us that this is a fresh install. In these
times you can't have workstations without antivirus for even a minute.
Which AV program are you talking about? Isn't it possible to push the
updates from the server? Have you checked the documentation of that AV
program?

John,

Assuming that your are using Symantec Antivirus Corp Edition, the solution
is administered from the Symantec System Console(SSC).

Whoever set it up, probably disabled the ability for clients to initiate
live update(this is common and recommended) in favor of having the live
update function controlled from the antivirus server.

Commonly, administrators will configure the SSC to have the antivirus server
collect the live updates directly from Symantec and configure the client
machines(from SSC) to access YOUR antivirus server for liveupdates.

Hope this helps!

If you are not using Symantec....then in the words of the late Gilda Radner
"nevermind"\

Thank you Marina and Rick. I am using Symantec AV. I will try as Rick said.
