Hi all
My fiiend's network has been operating for the past 2 years running sbs2k
but have recently run into a problem with certain email services. It seems
that since they went from a static to dynamic dsl that their ISP cannot
accept incoming email to other snet.net accounts. Their contention is that
we have to specify that we are using smtp.snet.yahoo.com My question is
this: We have smtp services (virtual) running on the machine. Do we add this
as a new service or are smtp connectors the answer? In KB 294736 and 265293
they refer to using smtp connectors but I don't know if that is the
appropriate path here. All other email works fine.. we simply cannot send to
anyone at snet.net

Also, in KB 274638, there is a reference that if the external IP address
changes, and the IP address for the smtp publishing rule has not been
updated could cause mail to be not delivered.

Any help is greatly apprieciated

It is becoming popular practice amongs ISPs to block mail coming from
dynamic IP addresses. If thats your case... you need to use your ISP as a
Smarhost. Check this out for the details:

The problem is in sending mail. Since this site went from a static IP to =
