My users are having problems accessing documents from my
SBS2000 Server. Takes forever to retrieve a simple text
doc from one of the folders. The hard drives are
constantly working, even though no one is using the
system. I'm new at SBS. Help!

Thanks in Advance!

Sounds like you're out of RAM and Swapfile space, and the HDD's are
Spinning their spindles off.

How much RAM ?
How Big is the Swapfile, and how much free-space on the Drive(s) ?
How long since you did an Exchange Aware Full Backup ?

Are you running backups at all? With which program? You can run exchange
aware backups with the NTBackup program. It means that it will automagically
flush the transactionlogs of Exchange after the backup. Go to
www.smallbizserver.net for the details.
