Some of my XP clients were affected by the blaster virus. I have cleared
these up but they are now complaining about slow response times. Everything
works but tends to hang for a few seconds when using searches to the server.

Any help?

Richard

Have you checked the registry-entries on those XP's? Does the ipconfig/all
still show that everything is pointing to your server-IP?

Marina

ipconfig /all shows that the ethernet card is pointing to our server
address.

Which registry entries should I be looking at?

Hi Richard,

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Do you see something like msblast.exe or mspatch.exe?

Fine.
Then put those XP-nics on anything but autosense.
Check www.smallbizserver.net for other issues with XP.
