Hi Christian,
Thank you for posting in the newsgroups. The symptoms that you described sound like those of the MsBlast virus. Check
the Run key in the Registry at HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion to see if you have a value
called: "Windows auto update" = msblast.exe. If so, delete that entry. Also do a file search for Msblast.exe and delete it if
found. Most importantly, apply the critical update to your system. For information on the update, check out the following
