I have read on this site, it is not recommended to run OWA
on the SBS box. We have a seperate Win2k server that we
use to run our company website. (using a ISA publishing
rule.) Would it be a good idea to move the OWA to this
seperate server? Does anyone know of any instructions on
how to do this (i.e. install OWA on a webserver?).

We currently have OWA on the SBS box. Do I just need to
recreate the webfolders in IIS (pointing them to the
proper exchange folders)?

In the end I want to purchase a Https certificate. If I
have both sites on the same server can they share the same
certificate?

Thanks

Hi nic -

In order to move OWA to the other server, you'll need to purchase Exchange
2000 Enterprise Edition. You can't install using the SBS disks, and even if
you could, Exchange2k Standard Edition (that comes with SBS) can't act as a
front-end server. If you really want to do this, I would personally
recommend waiting for SBS2k3 - 1) OWA in Exchange 2003 rocks! Huge
improvement. 2) Exchange2k3 Standard Edition can act as a front-end
server - so you wouldn't need to spend the extra money on the Enterprise
Edition. Either way you go, you're going to need another copy of Exchange
for your other server.
