Hi all, I have a problem with a computer's DNS entry.
I foolishly deleted the DNS entry from the SBS server
which was 192.168.0.47 relating to this PC:

Exactly what i did was as follows:

Went into the DNS via my computer > Control Panel> Admin
Tools > Reverse Lookup > 192.168.0.X - Subnet, deleted the
192.168.0.47 entry for this PC. (PC Name - Starsky)

The PC had a couple of DNS entries and i thought if i
deleted the DNS records for this PC from the reverse
lookup zone it would then reset the DNS record for this PC
when i rebooted the PC....Silly me.

I have rebooted the PC and the server but don't see a DNS
entry for that particular PC (starky) PC in the DNS via my
computer > Control Panel> Admin Tools > Reverse Lookup >
192.168.0.X - Subnetnetwork.

However, when i do an NSLOOKUP or IPConfig/all I see the
address of the DNS server. The PC also seems to be
suffering in performance.

Any Help greatly appreciated

If the computer that you deleted the entry for is a workstation you can
force it to register in DNS by using the ipconfig command. Check out the

ipconfig /flushdns
& ipconfig /registerdns

switches.
