What additional softweare needs to be installed on a Win98 clinet in order
to connect via VPN to our Windows 2000 server?

Just additional system files. Control panels add/remove programs and add
VPN.

Addtional....VPN is part of the win98 but it not installed by default. It
is in the add windows components in the networking adaptors.. .Also u may
need to install an additional tcpip protocal in the network control panels
for the VPN and a dailup adaptor as well. if it does not add it for u.
After that u should be about to create a network connction and choose VPN
adaptor.

You need to install the vpn protocol on your 98 machines. The following
