problem sending faxes

hi all;

we have an sbs2000 with exchange and we decided to install and use the fax
server too.
our problem is that our clients cannot send faxes although they print
directly to the shared fax. the fax-modem dials but we always receive a
transmission error from the fax device we are calling. (we tried it on many
other devices too) by the way we have no problems in receiving faxes.

does the fax server use any special transmission method which can be changed
anywhere in the program.

any ideas would be appreciated. thanks

If you mean if the fax is dialing the correct number it is. I tried it with
another local fax device so no problem. but if you mean stg else could you
pls explain a bit further.
