we're running a dell poweredge 2500 with sbs 2000 and 25 clients all win2000
service pack4. suddenly none of the client computers are able to print to any
network printers, however we can print from the server and we can ping the
printers from the client computers. when i go to add printer on a client
computer and try to browse the network for a printer, i can not browse the
network and the status for all printers is "unabel to connect".
when i go to my network places and try to browse the network i get the error
message "the server is not configured for transactions"

any help apreciated
Andrew

I would start by restarting the print spooler service on the server. Also,
make sure there are no jobs stuck in the spool direcory
(winnt\system32\spool). Also, check the logs for errors. If there are none
and restarting the spooler service doesn't solve the problem, you can up the
logging level by going into printers and faxes, file, server properties.
