I posted this earlier on but on someone else's thread so as not to hijack
their thread i'm posting here again sorry for the inconvenience.

I have 2 nics and a router.

Lan 10.0.0.2
Wan 192.168.0.2

I opened up port 443 and forwarded it to the wan nic.

Anyway i used the wan nic 192.168.0.2 as my external ip..or do i need to add
the actual isp ip.

I can't connect to the address https://mailexchange.domain.com i have
created a sub-domain via my isp which points to the ip address.

Is there any thing else i missed i followed your post to a tee.

Thanks

Thanks I have already done that...when accessing the url is where I made my
initial mistake.

https://mailexchange.domain.com/exchange rather than
https://mailexchange.domain.com

Thank you

Hi Greentko -

Sorry 'bout not catching this sooner - I've been rather busy lately with
pesky little things like working for a living . . . ;^) Just to make
sure - it's working for you now, right?

Hi Chad,

It's working like a charm here.

If I may ask one more question..how will one now disallow other people from
not reading their mails via owa.
For now the url is only known to my client and not her employees.

Just thought I'd ask...now keep on solving those pesky things...hehehe.

Thanks for the article.

Greentko

Hi Greentko -

To restrict a user from using OWA to access their mailbox, open Active
Directory Users & Computers and be sure to select 'Advanced Features' under
the View menu in the MMC. Open the user account properties of the user you
want to restrict, and go to the Exchange Advanced tab. Click on the
Protocol Settings button, then select HTTP and click Settings. Remove the
check from 'Enable for this mailbox'. Repeat for each user you want to
restrict.
