Hi

I have, what I think is, a working vpn between my sbs2000 server (ip
10.0.0.2) and a remote sbs2000 (192.168.16.2). I can ping all pcs on the
remote (192.168.16.x) network I have taken off the whole 19.2168.x.x range
from my own LAT to avoid any potential problems. The problem is that I can
not connect to the a remote terminal server (part of the remote sbs2000
domain) using ts contact manager even though I can ping the terminal server.
What is wrong here and how can I fix it?

Thanks

Regards

Are you saying I have a XP workstation behind a SBS server with an ip
of 10.0.0.x that sucessfully vpns to another SBS network and obtains
an ip of 192.168.16.x but cannot rdp to the remote server using the ip
192.168.16.2 or whatever that ip is for the other server? We do it
often enough but for one instance. One account uses the same isp as us
but has a isp provided vpn between the main office and the satellite
office. We cannot rdp to that office. We can rdp to any other account
even the ones on the same isp as us but not to that account. We can
even rdp to an account on a different isp and from that server rdp to
the problem server. The problem server will accept rdp but just not
from computers on the isp network. Quite odd.

Make sure if possible that you can do the rdp to other servers to make
sure you are not chasing down a problem at the wrong location.

Download the rdp client from Microsoft by going to
www.microsft.com/windows xp and searching for remote desktop client.
Works with 9x and W2K workstations and servers.

Hi

No, the vpn is between an actual sbs2000 server (10.0.0.2) and a remote
sbs2000 server (192.168.16.2) which also as a terminal server
(102.168.16.113) in the same domain.

So what happens when you vpn from a client and then rdp? Doing that
from a server might be a bit challenging.
