Well so far I've had a 50% failure (or is that success rate).
First install went fine. The second would not boot past the splash
screen - total lockup in normal or safe mode. Last known good won't
work either. As both systems are typical of my clients machines I'd be
mad to advise them to update at this stage.
As there are no error messages etc it looks as though I'll have to do
a repair install to fix this problem.
I've already read a similar report from another user so,
remember, lets be carefull out there.

Nothing odd happened during the SP2 install? Anything different or strange
about that PC HW or SW wise?

Where? There haven't been many such reports.
