How can i tell if my network card is faulty?

I used to be able to access the network but now I can't.

I am running windows 2000 professional.

Nothing else has changed.

What type of tests can i run to troubleshoot the problem?

thanks

Hi Jim

Firstly, from command prompt can you ping the server IP address, If so can
you then ping the server ' name '

You could swap the card over to see if that is causing you the problem. I
have cards function fine with all ping tests, but fail when you put them
underload.
