Hi

My boss uses a vpn connection (appliance) to connect to the network. I have
a script that maps the network drives. The problem is when I try to map the
drives a username/password window pops up. His password (that works on the
network with no problems) is not accepted for some reason. It seems that I
can't log on remotely with the same account. Why is that? Is there a way
around that?

Check the properties of the VPN connection. Is the 'use windows logon
domain' checked on the tab Options?

Actually it is Symantec's VPN client, and it doesn't have that option. I
forgot to mention that the server is a Windows 2003 SBS

There certainly is. If your ISP doesn't offer it, you can use the Microsoft
public news server:
msnews.microsoft.com or you could use Google groups.

In article <H6JYd.36422$fW4.1071611@news20.bellglobal.com>,
hello@microb.com says...
> I don't think there is such a group

There is - if you use:
msnews.microsoft.com

as your nttp Server - you'll have access to all the public MS NG's.

microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs - is definately there.

It's well 'used' too - so a great resouce for SBS 2003.
