Hi Guys

Hope someone can help

Have received information about our TS Cals from microsoft but stuffed if i
know how to install them.

Network setup

SBS2003 server + Windows 2003 Server running TS

I have the sbs2003 server loaded with windows server cals which all works
ok.

When I go to the TS Machine and go Terminal service licensing it says it
can't find a license server.

What are the right procedures to install the TS Cals do I install them on
the SBS2003 server or the Windows 2003 Server.

Any help would be appreciated

cheers

You have to install the TS Licensing server on a DC, so the logical choice
would be to do it on the SBS box. Just go to add/remove programs and in the
Windows Components section select TS Licesning server. Then open it and add
the licenses... it is as simple as that.

Yes.

The reason behind this is that the license discovery process querys domain
controllers for TS licenses. If you don't install it on a DC, then you need
to do some reghacks on the TS box... and that's why you should install the
LS on a DC. But, your users will be able to login on the TS without issues
(provided that you grant them access).
