Giz, I've got it and the patches from this week on, with no issues but in all
fairness to everyone out here..... I'm waiting to follow up with the guy who
had the PSS support call after SP4 on a new box and said that the PSS dude said
there were "known issues with SBS, Sp4 and scripting". grrrrrrrrrr puts my SBS
teeth on edge when I hear that.

I'm waiting for him to email back with this notes from that experience.

At this time.... I can tell you the following:

1. I installed it just fine. Turn off Exchange/make ERD/have a backup/reboot
prior to be on the safe side.
2. There are many other successful installs of SP4 as can be seen in this
thread
3. There "might" be "known issues with SBS,SP4 and scripting" ...what those
are, I don't know but for the benefit of everyone out there I wish that Greg
Lentz <glentz@issconsult.com> would post back in [the email bounces] and report
back with his notes on the issue. At this time I do not have any other info
than that. I don't feel comfortable in posting this response to you without
mentioning that one report on possible "known" issues. Sorry if I can't be any
more specific at this time.
4. As always, make sure you have a good backup, make a new ERD, shut down
exchange and A/V and for biggies like this one, reboot the server prior to
installing so that you KNOW you have a clean booting server prior to going into
the SP4 install.

FWIW, on my home SBS server I installed SP4 *without* physically taking down
any services. and it installed just fine. Now, I'm not recommending that
approach -- but, it did work. I merely stopped A/V, had a backup tape and
backup ERD on hand.
