This is probably going to sound like a dumb question but
here goes anyway.

We have two exchange server's on our network we want to
remove the last exchange server we installed due to config
issues and licensing costs. E.g. needing agents for
veritas backup software.

I have looked at removing the last exchange server
installation but a lot of documentation points to "Remove
first server".
What is the first exchange server? // Is it quite simply
the first exchange server which was installed?

This NG is for users of Microsofts Small Business Server product which =
would only allow for one Exchange Server.

My suggestion is that you consider reposting in one of the Exchange NG's
