Hi All,
Here's a funny thing. If an email is sent from outside the organisation to
an SBS distribution list then it comes through to everyone as usual. About
15 minutes to an hour later the same message is sent to everyone again this
time in plain text. This does not happen if an email is sent internally to a
distribution list address and emails sent from outside to indiviudal clients
just arrive once only.
I have SBS2000 with 17 clients mainly XP.
Server has two NICs second one connected to the Internet via a Netgear DG814
router.
Emails are sent by SMTP and collected via POP3 from our ISP.
Any ideas anyone?
Cheers, David, UK

Sounds like a known issue with the SBS2k POP3 connector and cc fields... you
have a couple of options:

1) Use SMTP instead of POP3 to get mail
2) Get another POP3 connector program (like www.popbeamer.com)
3) Use individual POP3 mailboxes instead of global

Thanks for the information Javier.
Its a shame that the POP3 connector has this problem. Is there no microsoft
'fix' for it.
Cheers David

Yes... it is a shame. However, I believe this was
corrected for SBS2003.
