We just got an SBS server, justified by a third-party sql app. That's
working fine and I have a bunch of PCs/users on the domain
running the application.

Now that that's done we want to get start using Exchange and file
services. Users run Outlook in internet-only mode now. I want to
move their PST data to exchange, and move "My Documents" to a network
share.

After that we want an outlook public folder with shared contacts and
calanders.

This may sound like a dumb question but where do I start ? I've never
used Outlook with an exchange server and I'm learning that with SBS I
should always look for a wizard before I start screwing with stuff by
hand.

Can someone point me to a good outlook/exchange book ?

thanks

IMHO-> Setting Exchange up in SBS is not really that difficult. Start by
running the Internet Conection Wizard (ICW, on the To Do screen)... this
will take care of it for you. You need to give it the domain name and how it
will receive the mail. Assuming you are going to use the POP3 connector...
set it up there and fill out the forms there to point each POP3 account to
the Exchange mailbox.

In the workstations you only need to change them from "internet" mode to
Exchange... and after you are in "Exchange mode" then you import the pst
files so previous stuff gets to the server.

The My Document stuff can be done several ways... the best way is to use
Group Policies and Folder Redirection to change the path of My Documents to
something like \\servername\MyDocuments\%username%. This would only work
with XP and 2000... you can do it manually on the other OSes.
