Hi

can someone point me in the right direction please?

I need to setup ISA and exchange and a new client for my
SBS 2000 server and i do not know how.

I will have a modem dial up connection. How do i stop
someone from trying to dial in and access the server? I
sometimes see ads displayed on my server.

Also how do i setup internal mail please? I would like to
send mail internally. Can someone help with easy
instructions please? These things are all new to me.

I also need to add a new client. How do i do this?

Someone else setup my server a while ago and they are no
longer available.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Is the SBS-console available? Most things sort of have to be done with that.
How is the server setup? How many nics?
Is ISA and Exchange already installed?

these please?

Install ISA and go to the SBS-console and follow all the wizards.

Hi Don:

A few web resources...

Small Business Server 2000 Planning and Installation Guide
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/prodtechnol/sbs/plan/sbsplan.asp

Microsoft Small Business Server 2000 Resource Kit

Microsoft Small Business Server 2000 Deployment Guide

SBS 2000 White Papers
http://members.microsoft.com/partner/products/Servers/SmallBusinessServer/more.aspx?tocSection=Deploy%20It

ISA...
+ Log on as Administrator
+ Get your SBS 2000 CDs.
+ Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Microsoft Small
Business Server 2000
+ Step through the setup (accepting the defaults, with the exception of
the Administrator password which you must enter)
+ When you get to the Component Selection screen, you should see an entry
for ISA with an "Install" selection mode next to it. Select one of these to
install ISA.

After ISA is installed, go to:
Start | SBS Administrator Console | To Do List | Internet Connection Wizard
and walk through the setup.

I presume you will be using the Exchange POP3 connector to get your mail, so
set up ICW for a modem and POP3.
