Hi Gus!

Take a look at:

I do not want to use OWA with SSL. OWA is working if I access it from
internal network. It doesnt wotk if I try to access from other network. I
get a message in ISA's log that from the ip that I was trying to start OWA
it is receiving a GET message and I think the ISA rejects the request. What
rule should I put in ISA for OWA?

Well... if you don't want to use SSL (which I think is pretty dangerous):
http://www.smallbizserver.net/sbs2000/How_do_I_configure_OWA_without_SSL.aspx

Be sure that you are up to date in patches... and that you plan to keep it
that way.

My owa is working fine. I only want to make it available from outside. As I
said before the users from local LAN can log on to OWA. The users from
outside can not log in. They get an error message like "403 forbidden" from
ISA server. What rules I have to make in ISA for this thing to work from
outside?

I hate to be mean... but did you even read ANY of the links that I just gave
you??? I think not! The links that I just gave you are exactly what you are
asking for... it doesn't matter that your OWA is working fine right now (in
fact it *should be* running fine).

You want it simple? You need to open port 80 in ISA. Good luck!

I did not mean to upset anybody. The links you gave me, I already applyed
them. That is what I was trying to say. Before coming here to ask questions
I searched the web for solutions and found the links. In that way I managed
to make OWA working from LAN. The problem is that I think I also have port
80 opened fro HTTP, HTTPS incoming connections and I still can not open OWA.

Hi Gus!

Sorry about that... but is just that this is now a different story. In SBS
out of the box OWA works fine internally without doing anything (at least in
my experience). The external part is what takes some time to figure out.

How are you accessing your OWA (I mean the URL)? Are you using a router in
front of the SBS box? If so-> Are you forwarding port 80 to the external
NIC? Be aware that steps 4-6 (on the OWA w/o SSL document) are the necessary
arrangements in ISA to publish the site.

Again... I apologize for my rudeness (bad hair day) :-)

I access OWA with the URL: http://ip/exchange. When I try to reach the OWA
like this I get an error message from ISA : "403 forbidden" message. The I
take a look in the ISA log and I find the IP from wich I tryed to connect
and it says at the end of the line "12202". I did not manage to understand
what this means because the log is in text mode and the fields are very
decalated than the column head. I thought it maybe the reject message?!
Anyway I have a rule in Access Policy - ISA that says:
HTTP 80 Allow Local:Default external interface Remote: All remotes
Is this the rule for allowing access to OWA ?

Ahhh...

Access Policy / Protocol Rules are for the clients. You need to configure a
*Packet Filter* that allows port 80 inbound. Check www.isaserver.org for
details or post back.

Also, check this out (to see which ones are which):

The rule that I desribed is in IP Paket filters.
But maybe I didnt described well - it is for inbound on port 80 HTTP for all
remotes to default external interface .
