Hello Jason,
There is no way around getting xyz.com to resolve locally, as the local DNS
table will always find itself as the start of authority for that domain.
Furthermore, you wouldn't want this to work, as your clients would have
serious issues trying to resolve local resources on the server.
The only true workaround would be to reinstall the server using
domain.local or something along that lines.
