Please help with method for deleting computers in active
directory - even when renaming a client the server will
not allow the computer access to the network -

"Windows cannot connect to the domain, either because the
domain controller is down or otherwise unavalable, or
because your computer account was not found."

"Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by
the same user name are not allowed. Disconnect all
previous connections to the server or share resource and
try again."

Even with administrator name and priviledges I am unable
to connect a re-named computer.

I upgraded a station and rotated another computer with the
same name to another spot, but did not have them on at the
same time - deleted both old computer clients in active
directory and ran the wizard to add them both with new
names, but recieved the above errors.

Any help??

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul -

Try dropping those clients down to workgroup mode then rejoining them to the
domain.
