While working on another problem, I was checking system logs and discovered
a large number of warnings with the error "DHCP server warning event ID
1020. Scope 192.168.16.0 is 100 percent full with 0 IP addresses remaining."
We're running SBS2K with double nics. I went into the DHCP server and the
scope reads scope[192.168.16.0] The address range is from 192.168.16.1 to
.255 and the reserved range runs from ... 16.1 to ...16.9. When I check the
stats, it indicates 245 addresses in use.

I think there is a problem here but I'm not sure what it is. I'm sure we
shouldn't get warnings in event logs but I don't know where to go next to
correct it. We recently moved from a dynamic to static IP. All users
currently have no problems accessing the internet. Any thoughts or
suggestions?

thanks
Carl

Under the DHCP Scope Check the leases to see where the IPs have been
assigned.
Under Properties set a lease expiration time.
Shiftkey-select all the leases and delete them.

Henry
Thanks.. Am on my way over to the site now and I'll check the leases. As I
recall last evening, there were 10 leases distributed among the IP range
from ..16.16 to 16.203. and the 9 in the reserve range. If all leases are
highlighted and deleted, are they then refreshed. After my posting last
evening, I went to smallbizserver.net and looked up the configuration for 2
Nics, Static IP, ISA and a router. Am going to compare this to our site as
well. Will let you know.

Yes, if you delete a lease on an active connection it will just refresh.
