I'm setting up a very small sbc config. All I want to do
is have the performance reports send email to an external
(bellsouth) email address. I am thinking I have to
configure the exchange piece. Ive gotten the pop3
connector working so it pulls email from bellsouth but it
will not send email to bellsouth. The message is
something about bellsouth not knowing who my domain is.
Question is is there a way to have the perf and usage
reports sent to a bellsouth account without doing the
exchagne config or do I have to do that and if I do have
to config exchange how do I get past this error.
Thanks in advance,
Glenn

Is your Internet connection from BellSouth? If not, you won't be able to use
their smtp server to send.

My internet connection is with bellsouth (Business DSL) and I have 5 static
IP addresses. I just dont know what to do or what to configure to have the
reports routed to the bellsouth email accounts.

Hi Glenn,

Are you sending with DNS or smarthost?

I opened my firewall totally up and it didnt make a
difference. I configured the smtp connector to use both
smart and the other one that I set to
mail.bellsouth.net. When I did this I got messages
saying:

Hi Glenn,

Have you rerun the ICW wizard? Looks like the admin account doesn't have a
valid smtp address.
