How do you block emails address to invalid recipients in Exchange 2000? This
is responsible for the majority of our spam... I have located it for Exchange
2003 but can not locate any information for Exchange 2000... Is there a way
to do this or is there a third party software that will do this for us... We
are already using Spamkiller for Exchange and this redirects them all but we
have to empty 1000s a day...

Exchange 2000 doesn't have the same recipient filtering capability to block
non-AD users that Exchange 2003 has. Have you thought about upgrading to SBS
2003?

This particular client has already blown their bugit for this year on a
migration of their DB from AIX to 64x SQL .NET.... So I was looking for a way
to prolong the inevitable..

Thanks,
Sasha

sasha,

We recently started using ORF Enterprise Edition (www.vamsoft.com) on our
SBS 2000 Exchange, and among its various features, it will synchronise with
AD and reject mail to bad addresses. 30 day free trial, then it quits if you
don't enter a registration key, and I don't remember for sure, but I think
the registration was about $200 for 2 years. It cut our spam by about 90
percent.
