SBS2000 has been setup and things had been working great for almost 2 years
but we finally hit a snag. We are not able to get to the web site
wwwdotmydomain.com (not the real domain). When we setup the server we were
told that this office would host their own web site and email so we setup
the domain as mydomain.com with a Dell PowerEdge2500 with many bells and
whistles.

Well the owner 2 years later transfered his web site and email to be hosted
by his ISP. For email all I really had to do was configure Exchange with
POP3. When I try to hit the web site now from the LAN it asks me for a
Domain Username and Password. The LAN's domain is mydomain.com which may be
a problem with the ISP hosting mydomain.com

I can get to the web site using the IP Address, and I have modified the host
table on the server and get a reply back with the correct address when
trying to ping wwwdotmydomain.com but I can not get to wwwdotmydomain.com
without it asking me for a domain username and password. Any help would be
great, thank you.

This was the first thing I tried even before modifying the host file and
still get prompted for a domain username and password

After you changed the DNS-server configuration, did you restart DNS?
Make sure the external IP-range is NOT in the ISA-LAT.
Rerun ICW-wizard.
Is the Firewall Client loaded on the workstations and pointing to your
servername and is autodiscovery unchecked?
Check the IE-settings and make sure proxy is pointing to your servername
or -IP, port 8080 and that bypass local address is checked and that nothing
is in there. You may check the advanced properties as well.

Are you able to go to other web sites without being asked for
authentication?

It took me a while to figure it out but I found it. It turned out to be the
ALLOW RULE located at:

ISA Management>Servers and Arrays>Access Policy>Site and Content Rules. I
disabled the ALLOW RULE, which was created by default, then I created a new
rule and all is working now.
