Has anyone setup a TS server behind the SBS 2000? I
would want to run the server in Application mode and have
the licensing on the SBS 2000 box. Any thoughts would be
great.

If you saw my other post I hav the answer already...

Peter,

Win2K Server as a TS works great. You can have the licensing on the SBS with
no problem. If you want it behind ISA, you will need to change the TS
listening port, and setup server publishing rules or you could use a VPN.

Hey Chris thanks for the feedback. My ultimate goal is
for the users using wireless laptops to connect back to
the office and be able to run a specific program? I
loaded the Licesing server on SBS 2000 and it is fine. I
know I do not need CAl's if I use the Win2Pro on the
laptop which is a money saver... But now how does one
get the wireless connection to the TS inside the
network??? My client will have a static Ip running over
a T1 line with a CISCO router.. Any ideas would be
great...

On the LAN, you would simply use the remote desktop connection and specify
the name of the TS or IP address.

On the WAN, you will need to decide ultimately how you plan on making users
connect. You basicly have 3 choices, web interface (not recommended), VPN,
or Server publishing through ISA. I use both server publishing and VPN at
client sites. It depends on who is needing access, and what hardware is
available.

Peter, if you run 128 bit encryption then vpn is redundant. When you refer
to wireless are you referring to 802.11 a/b/g for a home/work network or
high speed ISP wireless??

Yes, but they have to load TSclient on their remote machine first.

You establish the VPN connection first, then TS.

Works fine.
