APC's PCBE software is not supported for many models, especially the USB
types, but the Smart UPS's are probably among the ones that are... check
their web site to be sure.

Go to the APC web site and download Powerchute Business Edition 5-node.
It's free, and the documentation is pretty good. You install the server and
agent software on the SBS, and the console on any machine you want. Use the
console to configure the UPS, shutdown, etc. (not the UPS settings in
Control Panel).

Only quirk I've run into with APC software is that you can't run this
software in TS mode on the same machine that it is installed. No problem
with localing running it, or using RealVNC (or equivalent) to control the
local session.

You can also install APC software on any other machine in the domain and
access the SBS UPS from there.
