Kudos,
Some constructive criticism if I may.

1) your website width......99.9% of websites view in a narrower size than
yours and people like me are forced to scroll side to side or resize their
window. Compare your site with cnn.com, foxnews.com, yahoo.com, etc. I've
got a 17" laptop but run windows side by side and your site is wider than
standard format. I'm sure I'm not the only one and i may be friendlier to
resize your layout
2) Quick format on a fresh install is not recommended per MS and Dell,
especially when overwriting data due to a re-install
3) you may want to not that Dell and maybe some other servers like Compaq,
the recovery CD should be used to boot from to install the diagnostic
partition
4) you may want to not Compaq's rule of storage, needs double every year so
plan ahead for the size of your backups. I'm installing a server Friday
with a 80/160DLT that currently only has 5GB of data but wants their server
to last 5 years, with that formula that size drive is not overselling.
5) take a look at Snag-It software for screen captures. It is a great $40
investment and aside from easy captures, has great markup tools for fast
creation.

Keep up the great work.

If you have a minimum resolution of 1024 x 786 and full screen there will be
no problem. If you make it smaller you'll need to scroll because the header
of the site is so wide. I can make it a little smaller but any smaller them
800 wide is impossible because of the many screenshots.

Never heard of this. Please, give me URL's with proof of this. I have
installed numerous times only using Quick Format and never seen a problem.

That is one thing I will never do. I always delete all the stuff Dell or
Compaq install on a server. These so often called SmartStart stuff cause a
lot of problems. Just wait untill the next service packs arrive and you will
see Dell server crash.

I use Snagit but I don't do markups.

Mariette,
1) just web netiquette with size, all web sites I build go 800x600 per
w3c standards. I know you hate to waste that extra room you have but no
everyone has it. If you can get the width down on the header that would be
great.
2) http://www.informit.com/articles/article.asp?p=32051&seqNum=2&rl=1
but I actually got it while back with 2 different techs, 1 from MS and 1
from Dell. Dell does NOT support Quick format options and MS strongly
suggested against it as well (it was a US tech)
3) I've been using these partitions through several SPs but Dell will
want you to run diagnostics on that partition to troubleshoot issues so it
is a must have

My site runs fine at 1024 x 768 fine. Look at www.microsoft.com, does the
same as my site. I think the w3c standard comes from the stone ages where
people have 'Fred Flintstone' monitors :-) Wilmaaaaaa...

But I will look into the issue and see what I can do.

The difference between a long and quick format is only that a long format
checks for bad sectors. That is all, there is really nothing else to it. If
you reinstall there is no reason to do a long format. If you suspect bad
sectors it is a good idea to do a long format but you can also do a quick
format and checkdisk /f after the OS has been installed.

Quick format
Quick format creates the file system structure on the disk without verifying
the integrity of every sector. Choose this method for any disk that has no
bad sectors and no history of file-corruption problems that might be related
to bad sectors.

Full format
A full format identifies and tracks bad sectors so that they are not used
for storing data. Choose this method for any disk that has bad sectors or
has a history of file-corruption problems that might be related to bad
sectors.

Reformatting or converting a partition to use NTFS:

If you need to do Diagnostics on a Dell you can still boot off the Dell CD.
You do not need to have the Dell partitions installed.
