I have sbs2000
Windows XP sp1
Office xp sp3

Hello,

For the life of me i keep getting this one user when he opens up a word
file.

There is an unrecoverable disk error on file <filename>. The disk you're
working on has a media problem that prevents Word from using it."

This the first i have come across this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Where is this file located?
Can anyone else open this file from the same location?
Are you seeing any errors on the SBS server? Got good backups, and run a
chkdsk ?

So if someone else logs into this workstation and tries to open the file,
they can't? And if the user you mentioned logs into another machine that
works, it won't work for him?
