My network only has one SBS 2000 Server and several Windows XP clients.

We are going to have a Wireless Network (802.11G). I just wonder how secure
for this kind of nework now?

Any insight would be highly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

How secure is wireless is like asking "how safe is it to leave my front door
unlocked?". A lot of people still leave their front doors unlock, and feel
safe.

The real answer is all dependent on how 'safe' is 'safe'? Whatever you can
do to increase your security should add to your safety level.

Minimum:

1. Change the default password for your wireless access point
2. If possible, put it on the outside of your SBS network, and require
wireless people to VPN in
3. Make sure all users are using strong passwords.
4. Turn on whatever level of WEP/WAP security that your wireless
workstations will accept.
5. Turn on MAC address filtering. Although people will argue it can be
broken easily - in my book, something is better than nothing
