I have noticed that when Windows Update is run on computers on our network
when a user clicks "Install Now" sometimes instead of the EULA appearing a
blank window of the same size appears. To install the updates you have to
close the box (which then tells you that for every update you were
installing it failed) and click install now again. It will then work
happily. I think this is the reason that some of our machines are not
automatically picking up updates.

We have ISA Server on an SBS2K server. Anyone experienced this and know of
a solution? I've searched the web but haven't found anything, but I think
that's mainly because I have no idea what parameters to search under!!!

Cheers

Simon

Hi Simon,

i have experianced this problem, today in fact i looked
at the differance between the machine that had the
problem, and as expected found that the HTTP 1.1 settings
were different the one it worked on had both boxes ticked
and the one i had to do what you described only had the
first box ticked, Microsoft say that you should have both
the settings ticked to use windows update through ISA, of
course if you have already done that then disregard all
othe the above.

Regards

Chris

No need to as only one was selected. Quick question, is there anyway to
proporgate Internet Explorer settings through the active directory?
