Trying to build an SBS2K installation, all was going fine
until I tried to add a Symbios SCSI controller. CPU
ground almost to a halt on the reboot, and WinMgmt is
hogging 99% of CPU time. Can't stop it.

Tried removing the SCSI card and deleting the drivers -
even without the card the same thing is happening.

Anyone any ideas how to home in on it? I really don't
want to start again!

You might have a corrupt wmi and could build a new one. Stop the
Winmgmt-service, move the ..\system32\wbem\repository and restart
Winmgmt-service.

Do you also have MSExchangeSA-errors in your eventlogs? Have a look at
326011.
