I've been reviewing the SANS Top 20 Vulnerabilities and
other security documents. I don't see any settings in Group
Policy for securing Outlook. It there an effective way to
accomplish many of the recommendatuions, like closing the
preview pane and blocking script-laden messages, without
physically visiting every desktop?

Install all the Office 2000 service packs and current hotfixes, the Admin
package for the Outlook Security Update, and get the Office 2000 Resource
Kit which has .adm templates for group policy. That is a start anyway...
