Can anyone tell me if there is a way for administrator to
view a clients inbox for instance from the server?

One of our clients exchange server went down hard and Inow
have back up but there are a couple of the users not
receiving internal or external email now while the rest of
the staff +20 are sending and receiving. According to the
report I got the users affected by not receiving email can
in fact send email.

Any help or thoughts would greatly be appreciated.

Regards

Bill

Well it depends on what you mean by view their inbox. Of course you can view
their inbox in System Manager just not the contents. You can use exmerge to
export to PST and then open it with Outlook. If you know the password you
can use OWA. It depends on what you are trying to do.

Hi Bill,

Yes, that is possible. In AD Users you would have to give full access to the
administrator on one of those exchange tabs, mailboxrights and on the
Security tab you will have to add de administrator and give it 'receive as'
rights. You will have to turn on advanced view before opening the users
properties.

Marina,

OK, I believe I follow you response and have set the
attributes. Now how do I access this users inbox as an
administrator on the server?

I am trying to see if there is email in their inbox that I
can see as administrator that the user can not see when
they are in outlook.

Is there any other way to check this that I have not
thought about?

Regards

Bill

Jeff,

I want to be able to see the contents of the inbox of the=20
user. I am trying to determine if there are emails=20
actually getting to the inbox that the user is not able to=20
view when they have their outlook open.

Is there a better way to determine if in fact they are=20
receiving email that they are not able to see in their=20
inbox?

Hi Bill,

If you have OWA enabled, you can do it with that from the server:

servername/exchange/username
