I am in the process of setting up OWA however the SBS 2000 server I'm
working on looks to have a pre-Outlook 2003 client installed. Most of
the folks in our office work with Outlook 2003. If I install Outlook
2003 on the server, will OWA use that version? Thanks in advance.

Hi Pabs:

Please do not install ANY version of Outlook on the SBS server. This is a
non supported configuration.

AFAIK, the look and feel of OWA is dependent upon the version of the ASP
that MS includes with SBS. SBS 2003 has the newest one, so it should look
and feel closest to Outlook 2003.. but not exactly. :-(

If you mean, install an installation point of Outlook 2003 on the server,
that is permissible, but to actually install and attempt to use Outlook on a
server containing Exchange.....???? shudderrrrrrr.......!

Please refer

to read why you should not install outlook on the same machine as
exchange.

To get the Outlook 2003 client and the updated OWA "look" you need to
upgrade your SBS server to SBS 2003. OWA does NOT need or use Outlook -- it
is a web browser version of Outlook (albeit as much as can be done within a
browser). As others have said, you will break things if you try to install
Outlook directly onto the server.
