We have a fulltime broadband connection from our ISP in
the UK BTOpenworld, and were wondering how we configure
our emails to be sent directly to us instead of us picking
up from a POP3 box at the ISP.

BTOpenWorld have given us a static IP address. We send
out mail through their SMTP server.

We are currently facing the problem where we are getting
mail HELO errors when sending out to a particular
recipient as they are conducting a postfix check.

Please can someone give me pointers on how to do this.

Thanks,

Sachin

At the moment our domain name is at the ISP. We publish
our company website on it and also pick up mail via SMTP
from the same ISP.

Now, if we were to do what you said - then where would our
company website go - or should I say who would host it?

What exactly do I need to tell BT?

Furthermore, BT do not host our domain - we only use them
for SMTP (sending out mail) and web access (Broadband).

You don't need to send mail through a "smart host" like BT with =
Exchange...you are using exchange right??

or are your users collecting their own pop 3 and BT for SMTP?

We are using Exch.

We collect from a catchall POP3 via our ISP (not BT).
