Hope someone can help me. I found an article on how to go into a user's properties and under permissions deny the user permission to get to their mailbox. I did not want to disable to account. However, when I went in and disabled full control for the "self" the user's account is inaccessible within AD users and computers. It has a windows icon next to it and If I go to the properties it tells me that the information cannot be displayed. This Domain admin had permission on this account and I did not change any permission there, just the Self. Is there anyway I can get this account back the way it was or do I have to delete it entirely????

I'm not sure how you can get it back...
If you log onto the server as Administrator (don't use any other
account)...go to AD Users and Computers you cannot access the users
Properties??

As for access to the inbox...I believe you could disable that through the
Exchange tabs

I guess I hadn't waited long enough, I was able to go into today and at least the Security tab opened up. I made changes there and now I'm waiting to see if everything looks ok within the next day or two. I'll remove the permission by using the Exschange tab rather than the security tab. Thanks.
