Hi All,

I'm planning to upgrade a Win2K pro workstation to XP pro. The workstation
is connected in a typical SBS2K network, and since this is the first time
I've done an OS upgrade with a networked computer I was wondering if there
were any special procedures I needed to follow (or can I just do the upgrade
in place)?

Thanks for any help or advice. -Pat

Thanks Anita. My main concern was whether there might be any domain
connection issues I could run into (or could guard against). I thought I
had seen some posts where the client machines had to be rejoined to the
domain (or the account reset) after an OS upgrade. But perhaps that was
with older OS's.

I guess I'll give it go.

Thanks again. -Pat

Just as a follow up, the XP upgrade went smoothly and everything (all
network connections, internet, email and file access, etc.) appear to be
intact, without having to do anything on the server side. So I'm happy.
