Has anyone uninstalled ISA and ran the SBS 2000 with one
NIC. ISA is causing me problem with the Web proxy always
crashing. On the phone with MS and they make me clear
the cache and bypass the service from the cleints but a
week later it crashes. Any insight would be great.

I have just done this for a similar reason! You can run
the Internet Connection Wizard and tell it that you are
connecting through a router and that you are not using a
second NIC. You may need to disable the Internet side NIC
first. You will get a message saying that ISA will not be
able to act as a Firewall in this configuration, which is
OK as long as your router is also a firewall.

I found that I also had to edit the default domain group
policy to stop the client machines trying to connect via
the Web Proxy once I had uninstalled the ISA components
(although you do not have to uninstall it if you do not
want to, simply set the services to start manually and
stop them).

So far this seems to be working fine and I am having less
troube with VPN connections and Port forwarding to the
Web pages.

I hope this helps.

Why not use a second nic? That way you can benefit the full ISA-functions.

Call support back and let them know what is happening. Nearly 40
servers running SBS and ISA without problems.
