Paul,
If you go start Small Business Server Administrator console and click on
Server Status (Backoffice Home), then click on the About link on the right..
What does it show for the version.. Does it show 2000 with Service Pack 1?
If you right click on My Computer on the desktop and select Properties..
Does it show Windows 2000 Service Pack 3.. If the SBS console shows Service
Pack 1 and Windows 2000 shows Service Pack 3, then you should only need to
install Windows 2000 SP4 and any post SP4 security updates..

"Note If you are already running SP1, there is no need to install SP1a.
Small Business Server 2000 SP1a contains the same updates as SP1, plus
Windows 2000 SP4."
Hope that helps,
David Copeland
