Hi,

I have a group of users who need on a regular basis to be able to change the
LAN settings (more correctly enable or disable proxy settings) in Internet
Explorer.

I.E. Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings.

I would like to create a group in AD to achieve this that I can then add the
necessary users to.

One way I am aware is to add these users to the Domain Admins group, I don't
want to do this!

Could anyone advise on this please?

Thanks

Gawen.

Gawen --- let me guess, are these laptop users? Another way for dealing with
this is by using a 3rd party software. One that is recommended often is
Multi Network Manager from Globesoft:

And you can try it out free for 30 days.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the advice,

I am happy to look at third party apps but if there is a way through AD I'd
prefer to try it first.

If you or anyone is aware of an alternative?

Gawen.
