Got Trend CSM suite set to update hourly, and to send mail alerts on
problems.

Got a mail saying that there had been an update, then next two nights got an
email saying "
"Virus pattern files saved on server YOURSERVER is out-of-date."

Any one else getting this? Has happened on all our servers.

All components are newish (SProt = 5.56; ScanMail - 6.1; OSCE = 5.5)

I'm getting the out-of-date warning also. Pattern file has not changed from
675 (11/3) according to Trend's site. OfficeScan is picking up the option
from Client Administration > Advanced Settings > "Show the Alert Icon on the
Windows Taskbar if virus pattern file is not updated after 7 days" <is
checked>. Not to worry : )

So that's it! - I must get around to reading that manual....

Thanks!

Whoops! I'm using OSCE 5.5 and (ScanMail), not CSM. I would imagine the
interface is similar (or the same) for the OfficeScan component. Manual?
What's that? ; )

Same thing here which would be OK other than as of last night the pattern
file was up at 678 and today its at 680. Updates are set to hourly and
doesn't appear to have picked up on these...

CSM is just a name they use when they get some sticky tape and bundle up
OSCE5.5, SM6.x and Server Protect 5.x boxes together.

Odd - they seem to each have a totally different look and feel - but they
seem to work together ok. There is meant to be some kind of 'CSM manager'
thing or something which can be downloaded, but I haven't dared try it.

Thanks

The new CSM for SMB which is set to release in about a week is integrated
and includes spam control. It is the ideal product for SBS, and is less
expensive than the previous CSM bundle.

Hey, thanks - sounds interesting - unfortunately UK end of Trend is very
Unresponsive to Consumer Needs... (so we shall probably hear about it next
year)

The launch date for North America is next week. Internationally, I think
it's after the new year, hopefully not to long after. But you should still
be able to find out all about it, possibly even get an evaluation.

AFAIK, the following page will be live on Nov. 17.
