First install of this. Nothing sensible in Google.

I've got ScanMail (largely the same), and OfficeScan (shared folder
installation can confuse) to work, but I can't seem to get the right info in
the right boxes to load ServerProtect.

This multiple server stuff is confusing, when you only have a single SBS
Box.

How do I name the "Domains", and what do I put where?

The "old" one was much easier!!

Thanks
Andy

PS: From my previous post, looks like no one has ever done a disaster
recovery using Veritas 9.0?

Andy,

ServerProtect has the concept of "Domains" in which you can group multiple
servers for control purposes. In a large environment this is quite cool in
that you can specify different parameters on a "Domain" level. In an SBS
environment if you only have a single server then call the domain the same
as your network domain name for sake of simplicity.

The other confusing thing can be the "Normal Server" and "Information
Server" terminology in ServerProtect. In an SBS environment then you would
install as both on the SBS server and then any additional servers would be
installed as Normal Servers with reference to the SBS Server as the
information server.

Hope this helps.

Cracked it !!!

Yesterday I was loading the version downloaded from the Trend web site.
Looks like the 60mb file did not reach me in a workable condition.

Some eval disks arrived from my supplier this am, and guess what,
ServerProtect loaded first time OK.

Thanks anyway for taking an interest.
