I'm currently running SBS2000 and will be purchasing a new
server soon with either SBS2000 or SBS2003. (Largely
depending on the answer to this question.)

Can I re-use my CAL's? These have all been used already on
the 'old' SBS2000.
Are they compatible with SBS2003?

Server names will be the same if that makes any difference.

Any help would be much appreciated

Yes... since they are attached to the MAC address of the NIC you need to
reactivate them. Just call the number on the .txt file in the disk and get
the code to reinstall them.

No... SBS2k3 CALs doesn't even require disks. If you had software assurance
on the CALs you can get the codes for the SBS2k3 version. If you don't have
SA... then supposedly there will be upgrade CALs available (currently there
are none at an upgrade price). Worse case scenario... you can upgrade the
SBS2k srv + 5 CALs to SBS2k3 and you will need to get new SBS2k3 CALs (I
would just wait to see).

This is sort-of not related: If you plan to migrate from SBS2k->2k3 and use
the ADMT tool... you *need* to use different names/domain name. The only way
to do the migration keeping that stuff is with the spare box method (both in
SBS2k->2k3 and SBS2k->2k).

I hope this helps,
