We'll I tried all the tricks from the previous suggestions, and
unfortunately I'm going to have to reinstall TCP/IP on the domain
controller.

Of course I will be following
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;299451

Before undertaking this challenge, anyone have any other idea's I haven't
thought
of?

And secondly http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;299451
mentions re-creating lost shares??? Will I have to reassign privileges to
each folder or just share them and label them as they were before? Will
this include printers?

Let me just say HOLY COW! If anyone has had to do this process..pointers
are welcome.

Robert

Robert, your last post was to give Dell a call on the advice of Susan...What
was the result ?

Have you called Microsoft PSS on this ( you get two free calls with SBS)

Robert,
You may want to save HKLM\CCS\Services\Lanmanserver\Shares and restore
it afterwards.

Gizmo!!!

Thanks so much for your advice to contact Microsoft. I spoke with a rep
David Butler who was great. He spent about 4 1/2 hours on the system.
Using terminal services we were able to get the RAS working again without
uninstalling TCP/IP. And he fixed several other configuration issues left
by previous IT staff. As I know knowledgeable input is always a plus I also
suggested he visit this newsgroup, and from the looks of he has responded to
quite a few questions.
